The weather is just right for a pre-fall spiritual hike. Let’s get outside while we can! Plus, this river looks dope and I already envision all of us meditating by it.
If you’ve come to other hikes you know we could be a group of 5 or 25 BUT because Covid-19 (see more updates below), there’ll be no more than 10 people per hike to give us ample room to be socially distant.
Updates:
Must wear face masks (and wear them properly)
Must stay 6 feet apart
Must be in good health
Must be okay with getting their temperature checked via our handy forehead thermometer
Note: All these “musts” because I want everyone to leave safe and healthy.
Beginner/Moderate hike: Hacklebarney Loop Trail is a 2.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Long Valley, New Jersey that features a river and is rated as moderate. (via AllTrails) It’s labeled as moderate because of the big rocks there are to climb at some points.

Recent reviews:
“Alternates between a serene meander along the river and a little workout for the “climb” out. Absolutely gorgeous scenery!!”
“Incredible scenery! We did the entire red trail from start to finish with a small piece of the orange trail. The red trail began as a paved/gravel walkway with a steady incline. We continued to make our way down the red trail side this took us along the river. It was absolutely beautiful to see the flowing river and the trail turned into more rugged terrain. This included climbing over rocks of all different sizes, definitely watch your footing.”
“Great views on the Red trail that follows the river. Rocky for a good stretch but that also made it less popular to crowds so that helps if you’re looking for solitude.”
Includes:
- Guided hike by yours truly
- Energy cleanse with sage
- Mini Reclama hiking journal

Refunds are not available but you can transfer your ticket to someone else. If it rains, the hike will be rescheduled for the following day.
