Welcome to Reclama!

Reclama is a spiritual wellness community for women of color wanting to start a healing journey, or looking to connect with nature on their own terms.

Also known as, unapologetically taking up space in the woods.

Our day hikes can be super chill or adventurous, but you will always leave better than you came. We’ve made more room for our tribe who isn’t in the tri-state area with our Digital Grounding Retreats and Guided Journaling Sessions. It’s for women of color only, sharing their stories and ancestral knowledge, healing in community, who are ready to take up space unapologetically in the woods. Because when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.

The spiritual pre-party begins in December with New and Full Moon Guided Journaling Sessions.

We’ve got more to come but check out what’s in store so far for us. If you have any questions at all or want to collaborate in 2022, please email me at cindy@recla.ma.

Con amor,
Cindy

We are starting off way strong in 2022 with reclaiming our time.

January: time

How exactly are you spending your time? Are you budgeting it the way you would your money? Are you saying no to more things? We’re going to discuss what we can do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to help make more time for the things we love.

Jan 2: Digital Grounding Retreat

Jan 16: New Year, Who Dis? Full Moon Hike

february: love

With the focus on Valentine’s Day, love is definitely in the air. We’ll be discussing manageable ways to self-love and still feel balanced, how this is different from self-care, and ways to show yourself love every damn day. As well as, what exactly is self-love, why is this important for spiritual self-care, and why caring for your sexual well-being is part of loving yourself too.

Feb 6: Digital Grounding Retreat

Feb 13: Love Yo’Self Like Whoa Full Moon Hike

March: Healing

Healing is the focus this month on Reclama. The Full Moon has a way of bringing everything up to the surface so that you have no choice but to deal with it and turn to self-healing. We’ll be talking about different kinds of healing, how our ancestors healed, and healing as a collective.

Stay tuned! More to come.

April: Manifesting

Spring is here! We’ll break down how to manifest, make it part of your day-to-day and how it can help you stay centered, stick to what matters and achieve your goals. Anything is possible with a plan that takes into consideration all facets of our lives.

Stay tuned! More to come.

May: Sisterhood

This month brings up a two main topics: motherhood and sisterhood. We lean on our chosen mothers when things are working out the way we planned and rely on the women we love like sisters for joy, understanding and community. In honor of Mother’s Day, we’re having a meetup on top of a mountain for Sancocho, grounding, journaling and much more.

May 7: Mother's Day Sancocho on a Mountain

June: Celebration

Summer Solstice is a huge event for Reclama and this is the time to look at the past 6 months and freaking celebrate all we’ve accomplished. All so you can step into the new season having fed your spirit with high vibrations.

Jun 4: National Trails Day Hike in Hudson Valley

JULY: Reciprocity

In honor of Peruvian Independence Day, we’re focusing on Reciprocity.

Ayni means: If you give something, you have the right to receive something. And when you receive something, you have the obligation to give something back.

Jul 14-17: Vermont Treehouse Retreat on Mother Wounds (SOLD OUT!)

August: Change

Because of the seasons changing at the end of the month, a lot of people get sad when summer ends.

We’ll focus on how to make these seasonal transitions a little easier, working with them instead of against them, and build mantras for ourselves to focus on for when shit hits the fan.

Aug 18-21: Vermont Treehouse Retreat on Father Wounds (5 left)

September: Letting Go

Autumn is when the leaves start to fall and we slowly have to let go of quite a bit. We’re letting go of the summer months, another season and stepping into the last part of the year which can make people feel some type of way. Let’s embrace the beauty of letting go so we can make room for more of what matters.

Stay tuned! More to come.

October: Forgiveness

We’re going in on forgiveness for two main reasons: it cuts the cords between us and those who have hurt us and doing so will release any power it will have over you today and moving forward.

There’s a one-day, first-time friendly, campout being planned where proceeds will go directly to the Indigenous Peoples Movement.

Stay tuned! More to come.

November: Truth

We’re be honoring our fellow Native Peoples’ history and contributions to this country, then, in turn, helping us see our own truth.

We will be talking openly about all the unlearning we’ve had to do, why we honor native land on our hikes and the deep healing that comes out of this whole experience.

Stay tuned! More to come.

December: Death/Rebirth

The end of year brings up a lot of emotions for many but this is the opportunity to reflect, take inventory of the past year, and open ourselves up to a new version of ourselves emerging as a new year lies ahead. Parts of your old self will die so to speak but only in honor of the new parts of you that have to shine in the coming year.

We’re always evolving, let’s reclaim how we do it.

Stay tuned! More to come.
