Join Us in the Hudson Valley!
This Fall, Latino Outdoors and Reclama are teaming up for a special hike in honor of Latino Conservation Week. Started in 2014, Latino Conservation Week is an initiative of the Hispanic Access Foundation, an official National Park Service partner, to support the Latino community in getting outdoors and participating in activities that protect our natural resources.
Throughout the week, events like hikes, camps, and community discussions take place across the country, all focused on conservation efforts.
Main Goals:
Create outdoor opportunities for Latino families and youth.
Showcase the Latino community's dedication to conservation.
Collaborate with Hispanic leaders and organizations on conservation issues.
Raise awareness among policymakers and the public about the Latino perspective on conservation.
Never hiked in the Hudson Valley? Now's your chance! In celebration of Latinx Heritage Month (Sept 15 - Oct 15), we’re bringing our flags and our pride to Anthony’s Nose trail near Cold Spring, NY.
That means get ready to get loud and proud!
PLUS, IT'S A CO-ED HIKE!
Bring your husband, brother, or friend because we are out and about!
About the Hike: (Moderate at first, then easy) Anthony’s Nose trail is perfect for those looking for a bit of a challenge. The hike kicks off with a 500-foot rock staircase (about 20-30 minutes to climb), then levels out to the overlook with breathtaking views. We'll pause here to rehydrate, meditate, and journal before heading back. If the rock staircase sounds intimidating, check out the photo below or read a step-by-step guide here.
Hike Level: If you usually work out, you’ll be fine. If not, you might huff and puff a bit, but it’s only the first 30 minutes. After that, it’s super chill.
Distance: 2.6 miles
GPS Coordinates: Exact location will be disclosed via email.

WHY HIKE?
It boosts endorphins, reduces stress and helps keep you present. By allowing ourselves to be unapologetically spiritual in a place like the outdoors, we honor and affirm how we take up space in the world.
WHY JOURNAL?
The peace you get from being out on a hike naturally leads to personal reflection because your mind is super clear and you’re tapped into your highest self. Writing in this state is a powerful way to connect with yourself and what you want out of life. Once the pen hits the paper, anything is possible.
SIDE EFFECTS OF HIKING WITH US INCLUDE:
Spiritual freedom as we unapologetically take up space in nature, self-esteem on point, nature high that lasts about a week, inner peace, remembering who the fuck you are, feeling grounded, deep connection with nature, appreciation for ancestral land a.k.a. Pachamama, self-revelations through journaling, and the sassiness to stand in your power. You’ll always walk away from a hike feeling better than how you came in.
