Salsa Into Spring Equinox Hike

From our 2019 Reclama Summer Solstice Retreat

From Reclama’s 2019 Summer Solstice Retreat

Update: As of 2/22/22, this hike is now sold out but there’s a Pachamama Hike in April, Mother’s Day cookout in May, Co-ed hike in June. If you’re looking for a consistent hiking and journaling community, check out our digital new membership community, A Tribe Called Reclama, on Mighty Networks!

Spring Equinox is about renewal, resetting and reconnecting with nature as we start to come out of our cozy winter nooks. And back by popular demand is our spot at the Palisades Interstate Park.

And, if the weather is right, you better believe we are going to have our bare feet on the ground. This is how we ground, connect with the land and commit to taking care of her and ourselves. When you do this you quite literally align with the frequencies of the earth. Your blood pressure will lower, your anxieties will be at ease, and the side effects linger for a month. So why not heal in nature with us?

Then, we’ll get smudged with ethically-sourced sage that was gifted to Reclama by one of the hikers, put our phone away so we can properly disconnect and then go for our chill hike along the Hudson River. In the middle of the hike, we’ll stop to rest and replenish and journal under the trees. Journals will be provided for you. Just remember to bring your water! I got you on the snacks! Then we’ll end with a thoughtful check-in followed by a little dancing to celebrate the new season.

Indigenous land: We’ll be spending intentional time on ancestral Lenape Land. A portion of the sales will go back to the park’s care.

About the trail: (Beginner) This hiking trail is along the Hudson River, mostly flat, and just over 3 miles. Super chill. You won’t need hiking boots for this trail but please do not wear mesh sneakers. Wear your sturdiest sneakers.

GPS Coordinates: Exact location will be disclosed via email.

Bring your own water. Hiking snacks will be provided. I’ll be sending out an email 3 days prior and then the night before all with information on how to prep, what to pack, and more.
