Join us for the Healing Father Wounds Urban Hike, a special offering for women of color to explore how nature, community, and plant medicine can support us in tending to the wounds we carry around fatherhood and masculine energy.
What to Expect:
๐ฟ A slow nature walk and plant ID session
๐ผ A mini workshop on herbs for healing emotional woundsโlike hawthorn, nettle, motherwort, mugwort, and more
๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ A grounding meditation + space to journal and reflect
๐ฌ Open circle for real convo around father wounds, inner child healing, and reclaiming our own stories
๐ต Sun tea + herbal gift bags from Babes Herban Boutique
๐ชด A pop-up herbal setup with offerings, a small altar, and info on how to work with these herbs at home
This hike is a soft but powerful space to reflect on the stories weโve inherited, the grief weโve held in silence, and what it looks like to reclaim our healing on our own terms. Weโll move slowly, pause often, and take time to journal, breathe, and reconnectโwith the land and with ourselves.
As part of this experience, herbalist and wellness practitioner Meaka Brown will lead a plant walk and foraging session, focused on herbs that support emotional release, grief work, grounding, and protection. Sheโll share how we can begin to work with these herbs intentionally, especially when navigating father wounds and ancestral healing.
Babes Herban Boutique will also be onsite with herbal teas and offerings to support your continued journey.
Weโre honored to collaborate with Meaka Brown, who will be guiding the plant teachings. Meaka is also part of our upcoming Catskills Glamping Retreat during Labor Day weekend (Aug 29-Sep 1), where sheโll be leading a foraging workshop and offering Reiki sessionsโthis hike is a preview of the grounded, generous energy she brings.

WHY HIKE?
It boosts endorphins, reduces stress and helps keep you present. By allowing ourselves to be unapologetically spiritual in a place like the outdoors, we honor and affirm how we take up space in the world.
WHY JOURNAL?
The peace you get from being out on a hike naturally leads to personal reflection because your mind is super clear and youโre tapped into your highest self. Writing in this state is a powerful way to connect with yourself and what you want out of life. Once the pen hits the paper, anything is possible.
SIDE EFFECTS OF HIKING WITH US INCLUDE:
Spiritual freedom as we unapologetically take up space in nature, self-esteem on point, nature high that lasts about a week, inner peace, remembering who the fuck you are, feeling grounded, deep connection with nature, appreciation for ancestral land a.k.a. Pachamama, self-revelations through journaling, and the sassiness to stand in your power. Youโll always walk away from a hike feeling better than how you came in.
