Fall is putting on a show, and we’re taking our time with it.
Join us for a Nature Photo Walk along the Palisades, where we’ll slow down, wander through the fall foliage and learn how to capture what catches our eye. I’ll share some of the photography basics I’ve picked up throughout my years as a journalist, including lighting, composition, framing and how to tell a story through an image.
We’ll put those skills into practice as we walk, take in the Hudson River views, pause for grounding and journaling and spend an afternoon outside in community.
Bring your phone or camera. You don’t need to be a photographer or have any experience. This is about learning a few simple tools that can help you look a little closer and capture the season through your eyes.
About the Nature Photo Walk
This is a slow-paced nature walk + beginner-friendly photography experience, not a traditional hike. We’re intentionally taking our time, with plenty of opportunities to stop, practice what we’re learning, take photos, connect and enjoy the fall scenery.
No fancy camera needed. Your phone is perfect!
