We’re all going to need a hike after the election, no matter which way it turns out. So let’s hike it out and have nature put us at ease.
About the trail: (Moderate) The Giant Stairs/Long Path Loop from State Line Lookout hike is for those who are ready for a challenge. The trail starts off from the top and then we’ll work our way down the Palisades. The trail can get windy and the steps can be a bit steep but once you see how enveloped you are in nature and hear the sound of the waterfall nearby, everything else seems to fade away. This park is my go-to and even if the foliage is faded, the views of the Hudson River more than make up for it. Please note: This hike is not for beginners. You must have experience hiking and hiking boots.
Mood: Considering our current political climate, we all need nature now more than ever. You should come out of this hike tension-free and ready to tackle anything.
