Reclaim Your Spirituality Retreat

Reclaim Your Spirituality Retreat

What does it mean to reclaim your spirituality? How does nature help provide a safe space to connect with our spirituality? How important are labels like bruja or curandera? It's all goin' down at our super chill one-day retreat in the vibrant Hudson Valley this fall. Get ready for some leaf peeping, soft hiking, and real talk about this ever-evolving spiritual journey we're on.

Don't miss out, join us and let's vibe.

Intention: This hike is about reclaiming our spirituality. Whether you learned through your family or you are just getting started on your spiritual journey, a day in nature dedicated to this intention will serve you well.

Why?: Because nature serves as a catalyst for reclaiming and deepening our spirituality. It holds the power to ignite a profound sense of awe and wonder within us. Nature’s grounding effect anchors us in the present moment. The worries and thoughts of the past and future fade away, allowing us to tap into a deeper sense of spirituality that resides in the here and now.

About the hike: (Easy/Beginner) We’re headed to the Cornish Estate Trail near Cold Spring, NY which is a popular hike because of “the ruins of a grand old estate built by Edward Cornish, the president of the National Lead Company until 1938. Back then there was a mansion, swimming pool, and formal gardens -- think The Great Gatsby goes upstate. The estate was destroyed by fire but you can still see intact fireplaces, arched windows, and staircases among the foliage, like a cautionary tale for renters insurance.” H/t to Thrillist for the enticing description. Bring your camera too if you like to take photos.

WHY HIKE?

It boosts endorphins, reduces stress and helps keep you present. By allowing ourselves to be unapologetically spiritual in a place like the outdoors, we honor and affirm how we take up space in the world.

WHY JOURNAL?

The peace you get from being out on a hike naturally leads to personal reflection because your mind is super clear and you’re tapped into your highest self. Writing in this state is a powerful way to connect with yourself and what you want out of life. Once the pen hits the paper, anything is possible.

SIDE EFFECTS OF HIKING WITH US INCLUDE:

Spiritual freedom as we unapologetically take up space in nature, self-esteem on point, nature high that lasts about a week, inner peace, remembering who the fuck you are, feeling grounded, deep connection with nature, appreciation for ancestral land a.k.a. Pachamama, self-revelations through journaling, and the sassiness to stand in your power. You’ll always walk away from a hike feeling better than how you came in.
