And, by popular demand, we’ll be having our first kid’s hike (ages 5-9) on October 29! We’re going to have a Kids Fairy Trail at the South Mountain Reservation in New Jersey.
Dressing up (as a fairy?) is optional but encouraged! The hike is very easy, half a mile, and full of fairy homes along the way! Very fun and a perfect hike for kids new to hiking. This will be our only kids hike this year. Everyone attending will get an energetic smudge and an explanation of what we are doing.
About the hike: (Beginner) More details about the hike and meetup location will be sent via email once registered. The trail is pretty flat, hiking boots are NOT required.
Breakdown:
10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Welcome/Smudging/Introductions
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Hike in (looking for fairy houses!)
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Snacks & Rest/Kids sharing their findings
120:0 PM - 1:00 PM: Hike back/Closing circle
